My name is Khara Williams and I’m a professional makeup artist and hairstylist who has just returned to the US after 4 years of working in Europe. From a young age I’ve been a fan of fashion, the arts, and makeup and had you asked 6 year old Khara what she wanted to be when she grew up, I would have told you “Either Miss America or a gypsy”. While I haven’t achieved either of those childhood dreams, I have traveled much of the world and have also had the chance to work on celebrities, including multiple Mrs. Americas and Mrs. World. I’ve also worked in film, television, print, runway, theater, and done makeup and hair for hundreds of events.
My background is a little all over. When I started college, I was an Architectural Engineering major, but I somehow ended up with a degree in Communications and the Arts. I could study paintings, sculpture, and buildings all day long… every day. But my love? My love is makeup. Molding appearances, boosting confidence, educating, and making characters.. With even a handful of products and a few brushes, the possibilities are as endless as your imagination.
I’ve been awarded “pro status” by a number of world-renowned cosmetic companies including MAC, Make Up For Ever, Giorgio Armani, Smashbox, Illamasqua, Stila, Urban Decay, Face Atelier, and Temptu... to name a few. My studies include the works of iconic makeup artists such as Bobbi Brown, Vincent Kehoe, Kevin Aucoin, Eve Pearl and I've attended classes held by MAC master artists and Mario Dedivanovic, makeup artist to the Kardashian sisters. While I’m confident in my talent and abilities, I’ll never cease to educate myself on the newest and most up-to-date techniques and products. My art is my passion and the results of my work prove my dedication and love for my job!
